Through the isolation of the pandemic all Indigenous service providers faced the daunting migration to full online delivery. Re-emerging from isolation a collective proficiency at communicating with one another online had risen creating the opportunity for our stories and message to reach farther than ever.
As Communication Coordinator for the Nation Rebuilding Initiative of Mushkegowuk Council from 2020-2021 the challenge of successfully delivering a coordinated message to multiple First Nations comprising the Tribal Council in pandemic times required comprehensive written, graphic, technical, and collaborative capability.
With the need and opportunity in Indigenous Communications confirmed I decided to operate as a full-time registered sole proprietorship and offer such services beginning mid 2021. Over the last two years of successful service the need and opportunity have remained strong even through increasing living costs and rising prices.

The guiding documentation directing the administration of Mushkegowuk Council. This directory was compiled from scanned PDFs of the historical documents whose text was extracted using the Adobe Extract API for searchable HTML use. Samples:
Mushkegowuk.ca coded with a Node.js & Firebase backend fronted with Pug and GSAP. The site is used primarily for news releases and job opportunity postings by the Tribal Council.
